I studied law because I was genuinely interested in identifying issues and generating sensible solutions. Whilst heading up the corporate and commercial team here at S&A, I have been provided with a broad spectrum of experience across both litigious and transactional matters which have given me the confidence to advise on the most complex of legal issues.

Recent Experience

Richard encapsulates S&A’s determination to provide commercially and legally sound advice to clients. Richard graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree in Science majoring in Anatomy and Histology. He completed a postgraduate degree in Law Macquarie University graduating with Honours in 2015. Richard makes use of his multidisciplinary background to approach matters creatively with a view to obtaining the most favourable outcomes.

Richard started his legal career at Clayton Utz and at Curwoods Lawyers, having built the foundations of his career in contentious litigation environments. In those roles he gained invaluable experience in litigation procedure and the interpretation and application of the law on behalf of financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and insurers.
Richard represents publicly listed and privately-owned corporations, high net- worth individuals and insolvency practitioners primarily within the Supreme Court and the Federal Court. Richard has thorough appellate experience in both the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court and the Full Court.

He offers his clients astute, precise and trustworthy advice in an approachable manner.
